For some time now, I have been trying to get to know my new neighbor – a young Cottontail rabbit who moved recently under one of my favorite bushes.
So, the other day I decided to snoop on him a little in hope to find out his habits, and most importantly assess his threat level. I have a very low tolerance for intruders, especially when they are interested in my food supply. Therefore, questions about his dietary preferences were a vital part of my investigation.
As it turns out, the fluffy bunny adores dandelion greens and freshly watered grass, not to mention apples and carrots – items that I am not particularly fond of. On top of that, he does not smell all that bad and seems quite friendly. Maybe a bit too skittish at times, but I have a feeling that we will get along just fine…as long as he does not develop taste for my grapes and berries, of course.
