An Itch

Some may think that I itch too much, and I guess it is true. To be quite honest I do not pay much attention to it anymore as I have gotten use to it. When I got it I scratch it and move on with my life…after all it is mainly dust that gets to me. I do live under the ground. Remember?

Newton

Newton turned out to be quite a nice fellow. Once I clamed down from the anxiety over “the new roommate scenario,” I was actually able to appreciate his company. It gets a bit lonely down here after a while, and this winter especially has made me long for company.

Mr. Moth

After all the chocolate melting, mixing and truffle ball rolling I decided to take a long snooze, and if it was not for the buzzing noise that suddenly filled my bedroom, I would have been probably still sleeping. At first I thought that it forgot to turn off my iPod. After all, I haven’t had it for that long and I am still in the process of getting use to it.

Peanut Dreams

This winter sleeping jag is getting to me. Last winter was much kinder. I could stick my nose out the hole and wonder about from time to time. But, now…we are expecting yet another snow storm!
I often think how much I would love to stretch my body under the ferns near my burrow and maybe sit on a log pile for a moment or two.

Cold Winter Day

Another cold day. I managed to get some sleep again. It felt good, but after a while it got to me. I woke up, wondered about, picked up Sedaris’ book again and continued reading. I always appreciated his sense humor, but I am afraid that this time he took it a tad too far. I mean, how could a chipmunk date a squirrel?
