To me, summer usually arrives with a large shipment of sweet cherries. I love to munch on them early in the morning, while on my favorite perch overlooking the yard. I often put one aside the day before and hide somewhere deep in the woodpile so I could easily retrieve next day. Continue reading

My Sunflower

Some time ago I was told that I could be quite a good farmer. While I knew I would have a hard time raising cattle, I knew that I could always plant a tree, or two…or perhaps even a sunflower. Hot Day

Today was a hot day and I did not feel like doing much. Besides, every time they mow the grass I am a bit shaken up, literally speaking. Hence, instead of running my usual errands, each Tuesday I try to relax while lounging on my favorite perch in the wood pile. Continue reading
