Peanut Dreams

This winter sleeping jag is getting to me. Last winter was much kinder. I could stick my nose out the hole and wonder about from time to time. But, now…we are expecting yet another snow storm!
I often think how much I would love to stretch my body under the ferns near my burrow and maybe sit on a log pile for a moment or two.

I love to watch the view that stretches across the yard. It is always so peaceful. I think that my longing was translated into a dream last night. I dreamed about shelling peanuts on a sunny day in early June. It felt so good. Fat Boy was there as well, eyeing my peanut pile. I could never understand why he never shells them. One unshelled peanut is a mouthful! Let me tell you!
